Incepted in 1974, the Miccosukee Indian Arts & Crafts Festival has been one of the most sought-after events in Florida. Every year in December, the beautiful Florida Everglades showcases arts and crafts from Native American, India, Aboriginal, First Nations, and Amerindian cultures of the Americas. The festival has transformed into a ‘multicultural celebration of indigenous culture’. Indian Arts & Crafts takes place at the Miccosukee Indian Village.
More about the Festival
Apart from being a well-known beach destination, Miami has earned special recognition for its festival celebration. In this connection, the Miccosukee Tribe of Indians of Florida continues to be a popular Florida celebration. Amongst the featured artists are Joe Tohonnie Jr. and the White Mountain Apache Crown Dancers, Great Plains Dance Company, Lightning Boy Hoop Dancers, and Sky Iroquois Smoke Dancers.
