What began as a rejected group from the King Orange Bowl Parade, the King Mango Strut Parade has grown into one of the wackiest events in Florida, the United States. Held at the heart of Miami in the Sunshine State, it ensures plenty of fun, creative, irreverent, and wacky people.

Since its inception by two Coconut Grove residents – the late Bill Dobson and Glenn Terry, the natives of Miami have managed to keep the parade alive with satirical costumes with a facetious focus on national, local, and global events. The King Mango Strut Parade features marching bands including the New Orleans Funeral Marching Band, the Grove Jugglers, etc.

On the Day of Celebration

The parade is scheduled to kick-start at 2 pm and is expected to be watched by 8,000 to 10,000 people. Admission to the event is free, allowing participants and spectators to make the most of the local shops and restaurants.
