Like you, I’m too a food lover. This food habit has made me travel the world (at least, to a few countries where I not just indulge in binge eating but also get to know about the local culture). Recently, I flew down to Florida and was completely bowled over by Kissimmee’s diverse dining scenes.
A popular vacation destination that Kissimmee is, visitors never run short of the most awesome things to see and do like the neighboring theme parks, great shopping, and unique old Florida charm. When feeling hungry, the city brings you an array of eclectic eats ranging from award-winning Middle Eastern cuisine to authentic Dominican dishes.
Besides its strikingly unique mixture of modern American flavors and Caribbean island-inspired fares, Savion’s Place boasts numerous mouthwatering dishes that range from the pork ribeye with fresh green beans and sweet potato mash and the tostones bowls (stuffed with pulled pork and prawns). It was founded in 2012 by Chef Pouchon Savion.
Romance in mind? You don’t have to head to the beach for a romantic dinner. Kissimmee’s Eleven, a gorgeous steakhouse, will quench your thirst as well as your tummy with delicious foods. In the 2015 Orlando Magazine Dining Awards, Eleven was named the Best Kept Secret in the city. It is placed on the 11th floor of the Reunion Resort.
German’s Restaurant and Bierhouse is a perfect choice after a hard day at the theme park. Ride the rollercoaster for an adrenaline rush and grab the table for some authentic German cuisine. The restaurant is perched right on the edge of the world-famous Walt Disney World.
Let me tell you that this particular eating zone has everything to tantalize your taste buds, to suit every diner. At Chef John’s Place, you will taste the southern flavors merging American cuisine. The upscale restaurant has an eclectic menu displaying everything from the popular seafood (smoked baby back ribs and Cajun-grilled mahi-mahi to pasta) to scrumptious steaks. On Thursdays, you will love the food in particular because there is live jazz on the spacious patio.
Seafood, Spanish, Caribbean, local cuisine, and International, Norman’s is gaining popularity day-by-day. Known for serving absolutely luscious food and impeccable service, Norman’s was a great choice during my travel to Kissimmee. The Red Snapper was really tasty.
It’s been more than two decades that this casual dining establishment serving the visitors and locals alike in the most fashionable way. Specializing in traditional Italian fare, Bruno’s Italian Restaurant stuns its guests with a collection of Italian favorites. What do they serve? Mussel’s marinara and creamy shrimp alfredo, veal marsala and spaghetti with meatballs, New York-style pizzas, and cannoli or tiramisu (dessert) are some of the must-try Italian favorites.
Nearly three decades, “Tarantino is a family owned and operated restaurant serving local customers and their families.” If you are traveling to Kissimmee and love homemade food, you now know where to go. Tarantino is known for its delicious Italian cuisine. Paul J reviewed on TA, “I had eaten here many times over the years, when I visited Orlando. A few years back, they had closed, and I felt like I had lost a friend. Lo and Behold, they had re-opened in a new location. Same great food and service. The food is fantastic and reasonably priced. We had the dinner for two, which is a great choice. Includes appetizer, salad, main and dessert.”
This is a mom-and-pop-style restaurant. It has got a friendly ambiance. Woosby’s Café has been voted the Best Breakfast in the Country in 2014. Don’t miss out on its award-winning breakfasts. You will pamper your taste buds with pancakes, omelets, and has browns topped with American cheese, diced harm, and grilled onions. You will also love meatloaf with gravy and beef tips with noodles.
Another lovely place to tantalize your taste buds in Kissimmee is Drafts Sports Bar & Grill. This is a perfect family restaurant. While the food is great, you can’t stop appreciating the staff. They are highly-trained professionals. A customer named Mike P said, “We thoroughly enjoyed two types of wings, burgers, flatbread and salads during two visits in March. Waiter was great and so were the drinks. You can’t go wrong.”
King O Falafel serves authentic Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cuisines at the best prices. The restaurant was established in 2009 and has earned itself a name. Kibbah, babaghanouj, hummus, falafel, chicken tikka, babobs, gamberi, and gyros adorn the menu. The restaurant is located on West Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway.
Kissimmee’s best tourist attractions comprise some of the country’s most popular and award-winning places to visit. An integral part of the central Florida region, Kissimmee gives visitors easy access to attractions like Kissimmee Lakefront Park, Gatorland, Busch Gardens Tampa, Walt Disney World, Oaks National Golf Club, Museum of Military History, and Lake Tohopekaliga.
It makes an ideal family vacation getaway. Its proximity to Orlando makes Kissimmee a long vacation destination.
Oh, did your mouth just water? I know these restaurants serve fantastic food in a stunning background. During my stay, I preferred staying at Kissimmee villas. They are nicely located in the main areas of the region offering convenient access to all the major points of interest. Next time you fly down to this beautiful city for the theme parks or just for food, you will find lavish villas to rent in Kissimmee. These accommodations are budget-friendly.
